Hog Roast Breage Are Ready For The Summer To Kick Off!
Hog Roast Breage are so excited for this summer to kick off with celebrations, so many of our lovely customers have booked our traditional hog roast and we are looking forward to serving it at different venues across Breage and surrounding areas!
For some of you who have booked with Hog Roast Breage, you have been waiting for this feast of food for a long time because of postponements due to Covid-19. Let us remind you of what you should expect:
The Classic Hog Roast Meal – a whole slowly roasted, free-range pig that has been cooking for 12 hours on low heat. The pig’s skin has been cut and massaged with water and rock salt to produce the most amazing, crisp crackling. As the juices fill the tray that the pig lays on, home-made sage and onion stuffing is mixed into the juices to produce the most incredible flavourful stuffing. As the cooked pig journeys to you, it allows the meat to rest and the rest of the juices to be absorbed back into the pork creating a melt-in-the-mouth consistency and an authentic flavour.
As your selected serve time approaches, the pig will be lifted so that the guests and you can see the pig with your own eyes. Half of the pig will be carved down and pulled so that the other half retains its shape still looking like a pig as theatre for your guests. Having the stuffing surrounding the pigs body provides a kind-of medieval feast vibe.
The succulent pork and tasty stuffing will be served into a selection of rolls and wraps. Popular rolls are soft white, cheesy, and wholemeal, additionally the wraps have become a favourite as it is lighter option and therefore seen as less filling (even though you can fit more meat into it!).
To complete the incredible roll, a spoonful of a sauce of your choice is added. Sauces Hog Roast Breage tend to bring are the traditional apple sauce, ketchup, sweet chilli, mayo, BBQ, and mustard. Any of these compliments the meat well.
Is your mouth watering?! Hog Roast Breage will see you soon!
