Hog Roast Perranporth Catering for a Riding School Fundraising Event!

We were contacted recently by a local riding school who needed some fab on-site catering that wasn’t going to break the bank. Their riding centre was desperately in need of a revamp and in order to raise a bit of extra cash they had decided to host a party, with the ticket price including lots of fun filled equestrian related games and quizzes, some upbeat music and they were hoping for some great food too! They needed a catering company who could cook at their site, which had no cooking facilities itself, and provide some great grub without it costing the earth as they wanted to give their paying guests a really good night without having to spend all of the money they made in the process!

Hog Roast PerranporthHere at Hog Roast Perranporth we were only too happy to help of course and when they saw our crowd-pleasing yet budget friendly menus, they knew they were on to a winner! They asked us to provide our signature hog roast served in a pulled pork style, topped with our hot, crunchy crackling and sweet homemade apple sauce, along with grilled veggie and haloumi skewers, some creamy coleslaw, jacket potatoes, as well as gluten-free bread rolls, to ensure different dietary needs were catered for.

Here at Hog Roast Perranporth, our equipment is so streamlined and our approach to catering is so versatile that we are never out of our comfort zone no matter where we are cooking! We love the variety of locations we are asked to cater in, and we were raring to go when we got to the riding school at around lunchtime on the day of the event. We always arrive several hours before serving time because we make everything from scratch whilst the meat is being slowly roasted.

At 6.30 everyone started to arrive and judging by the turnout, it was obvious that the fundraiser was going it as successful as the riding school owners were hoping! Whilst everyone was enjoying the fun and games the Hog Roast Perranporth team kept everyone’s plates piled high with our moreish slow roasted pork and everything else that went with it. It was a great night that raised some much need cash for the riding school refurbishment, and we were happy to be a part of it!
