Hog Roast Saltash Helped One Client Who Wasn’t Ready To Say Goodbye To Summer

Autumn is in full swing and while many families up and down the country have begrudgingly stored away their BBQs and outdoor furniture for another year, some haven’t given up on enjoying the summer festivities just yet! Eager to enjoy one last garden party with her friends and family before resigning herself to the dreary winter months, Samantha decided to ring the Hog Roast Saltash team to discuss catering options for the day. After talking to the client for some time, it was agreed that the end of summer bash should feature our classic hog roast menu with plenty of eco-friendly wooden crockery and cutlery to go around for the 50 guests that planned on attending the occasion.

Hog Roast SaltashPreparing for rain showers, the Hog Roast Saltash catering crew brought along a small marquee, but when the big day arrived, the weather was on its best behaviour with only a few grey clouds threatening to spoil the day. Setting up in the clients back garden in the early hours of the morning, the team pitched their gazebos and got started on bringing our delicious menu to life by effortlessly slow roasting the whole pig using our Hog Master, before laying out the selection of soft-floured gluten-free rolls, wraps, crockery and condiments on the serving table.

Samantha’s guests began arriving in the early afternoon and many of them couldn’t believe how lucky she had been with the weather. While the group excitedly settled under the marquee which was ready to shield them from any unexpected downpours, the Hog Roast Saltash catering crew busied themselves with finishing up the menu. Before long, the whole pig was a delicious golden brown colour and was soon served up with crispy crackling and savoury stuffing along with chicken kebabs, juicy sausages, meaty marinated spare ribs and BBQ 100% beef handmade burgers. The team had also whipped up a meat-free alternative of homemade grilled vegetable skewers for those following plant-based diets.

We’re pleased to share that Samantha got the end of summer party she had been dreaming about and the food went down well with her guests who after returning to the gazebo for third and four helpings, left nothing but clean plates which were tidied away by the Hog Roast Saltash catering crew at the end of the evening.
