Hog Roast Truro

We recently catered a business event where we were asked to provide some lovely food for people with different tastes and we mentioned to Rachel, the organiser, that our Southern Slow Roast Menu would likely do the trick. With this menu, you get to choose three meats from a possible five (from pork butt, beef brisket, spicy lamb, Cajun chicken and sticky pork ribs) and four sides from a possible seven (including mac and cheese, coleslaw, skin-on jacket potatoes, sweet potato wedges, Greek salad, seasonal green leaf salad and corn cobettes). The marinated meats themselves are cooked low and slow on the day, so at a low temperature for a long time, and are served with some tasty sauces, and we also provide fresh bread rolls and wraps. Even though the sides are already suitable for vegetarians, there’s also a vegetarian main option with this menu, of grilled veggie skewers with pitta bread and a Tzatziki dip. It’s no wonder that the Southern Slow Roast is one of our hugely popular choices.

On the day of this corporate function, Hog Roast Truro met up with Rachel in the morning at the business premises and set up our equipment on-site. We were serving at 2pm, so the pork, chicken and lamb sizzled away for hours on end and we cooked up a storm with the sides of mac and cheese, jackets, corn cobettes and wedges too. The seventy guests clearly loved our food, as we had so many compliments about the choice and variety and all the plates came back empty.
