The party was being held at the local cricket club and as we drove along the lovely country lanes we were in awe of the fantastic picture post card views they were just breathtaking! We arrived nice and early and chatted to the couple before hand they said they were very excited to taste our food as they had never tasted hog roast food before. So keen to impress we left the couple to chat amongst friends as we set to work. We brought with us our largest machines as we…

Corporate Hog Roast Porthcothan For A Team Building Day

Company gatherings aren’t always necessarily drawn-out, tedious affairs full of long speeches about facts and figures and death by power-point. Team building days are becoming increasingly popular with businesses today, allowing employees to escape from the formal confines of the office and swap their suits for commando gear to complete obstacles courses, solve puzzles and work together to achieve a common goal, whilst having some fun in the process. This is exactly the kind of alternative company event Hog Roast Porthcothan were asked to cater for last week at an outdoor adventure centre for 80 office staff. In keeping with the fun, informal tone of the day, the event organisers…

Spring Roast for a Supper Club – Hog Roast Releath

Here at Hog Roast Releath, we love meeting people who are as excited by good food as we are. Julie, the ringleader of a local ladies Supper Club, is certainly a connoisseur of fine food, and from what we could gather from talking to the rest of her gang of gourmets, a lady of very exacting standards (don’t worry girls, we won’t name names and drop anyone in it!). The Supper Club, formed by Julie 18 months previously after getting the idea from a TV show, had reached a benchmark in its existence. Not only had the club managed to keep going for a year and a half, it had…

Hog Roast Tremaine – Vegetarian Menu

We had an enquiry about an event last week from a gentleman wanting to book us for a Hog Roast Tremaine but he was worried as two of his guests were vegetarians but we told him not to worry as we do a vegetarian menu too! We ran through the menu with him and the date was set and Saturday morning bright and early we arrived at his home. He was very thankful for our help with the menu and the event was a small reunion with a group of ex Army pals. We wasted no time in getting set up and we brought with us a delicious vegetarian quiche that…

Hog Roast Maxworthy – Community Centre Re-opening

Catering south mid week for a community centre they had had a refurbishment and wanted to celebrate and invite all the community along to come and see what had been done with a Hog Roast Maxworthy. We were asked to cater for approximately one hundred but we brought a bit extra, as we like to be prepared in case more guests arrive as they often tend to in events like this. We were asked to make a finger buffet but our finger buffet is unlike any other. We placed rows of sausages on the machine and brought with us some fingers buns to place the sausages in with lots of…
