Engagement! Hog Roast Penzance

After being a couple for six years, for Stephanie and Daniel, their engagement party needed to be extra special. Daniel proposed next to the gorgeous Cornwall coast in their home town of Penzance and his romantic gestures didn’t stop there. Soon enough, Hog Roast Penzance were called to provide the food for the special event. Of course, we were happy to help.

Daniel ordered our services along with one of our fantastic hog menus. This included a large, roasted pig, cooked on the day by our professional spitting machines. The meat would be accompanied with soft, floured bread rolls, a selection of sauces and of course, our famous warm herb potatoes. We were informed that we would be catering for 100 guests therefore we prepared ourselves with a large hog roasting machine and 2 catering staff for the day.

The engagement party was held in the Lugger inn, a large seaside hotel resort full of laughter, beautiful views and a great reputation for parties. Our team arrived at the hall early morning to set up the tables and machinery that we provided. We brought a chef along with us to prepare the meat and a serving assistant.

As the guests arrived at the venue, the hog was already hours into cooking, creating authentic smells across the room. A queue of hungry guests began to form a line eager to pile their plates with delicious roast. Soon enough, the potatoes and bread rolls were being gobbled up and the guests completed us on our delicious crispy crackling. As the buffet was cleared, Daniel personally thanked us for making the day so tasteful. Him and his wife to be, Steph, explained that they had set a date for their wedding and would love to hire us for the special day for another Hog Roast Penzance. We were delighted!
