After the cancellation of a popular monthly craft fair due to social distancing guidelines, it was greatly missed by the local artists showcasing their creations and by the people who loved attending and purchasing these unique items. Following the gradual reintroduction of events in the past few weeks, the organisers of the craft fair couldn’t wait to be given the go-ahead to get up and running again. They decided to speed things up by holding it outdoors, rather than in their usual indoor location in the local market hall, to ensure they maintained an environment that was as safe as possible for everyone involved. With a plan in place, they were eager to welcome their stallholders and customers back to their new outdoor setting! Since it was their first craft fair for a number of months, they wanted to make it a special occasion and also provide food for those selling their wares and the attendees, but they knew finding a catering company who could cater on site in accordance with all of the current regulations without it affecting the quality of the food and service they provided wasn’t going to be easy. They were almost on the verge of giving up, when thankfully they decided to get in touch with us here at hog Roast Fowey!

We have also had our fair share of uncertainty over the past few months the same as everyone else, but we haven’t let that get us down! As soon as we were given the green light, we were back up and running in no time with all of the stringent new requirements in place. When we explained this, they breathed a huge sigh of relief and hired the Hog Roast Fowey team without further ado! And so we arrived bright and early at the outdoor venue for the craft fair and spent the morning cooking our ethically reared pork to slow roasted perfection, and it was falling off the bone by the time we were due to serve! We delivered the same unbeatable standard of slow roasted pork that we always do, along with our usual level of efficient and friendly service whilst ensuring our diners remained socially distanced and safe. The event was a big hit with everyone who attended, and so was Hog Roast Fowey’s food!
