It’s a nice day for a white wedding! Hog Roast St Just at 80s themed wedding.

Hog Roast St Just’s latest event was a very special, very 1980s wedding. The celebration was not only for the newlyweds to show off their love for one another, but was also an opportunity for them to demonstrate their love of bold makeup, big hair and even bigger shoulder pads.

Hog Roast St JustThe happy couple worked closely with Hog Roast St Just to put together an exciting and diverse buffet menu for their 50 guests. However, that wasn’t all the couple were interested in, they asked if during the serving of the buffet the Catering Manager would consent to wearing a large 80s style wig. This was certainly a Hog Roast St Just first, but the Catering Manager jumped on board immediately!

Due to the Covid-19 restrictions surrounding the number of guests allowed at a party a split serving time was arranged. 30 guests enjoyed their buffet at 4pm, while the remaining 20 tucked into their tasty treats at 5:30pm. The clients were thrilled that the team were taking the safety measures and government advice so seriously, and were glad that it did not have a negative impact on the celebration for their special day.

The outdoor garden venue gave the Catering Manager plenty of space to work in, every single platter of perfection was created fresh on site on the day of the wedding celebration. As part of the catering package the clients opted for the team also provided the use of high quality china crockery and cutlery for the guests to use.

At both serving times the buffet table was heavily laden with a whole variety of fun, tasty dishes. Not only was there a Classic Hog Roast complete with crispy crackling, stuffing and apple sauce, there was also BBQ beef burgers and assorted soft rolls for everyone to enjoy. There was also platters of perfectly grilled plain vegetable skewers, a vegetarian lasagne, sweet potato fries and a luscious Greek salad.

Fortunately, the weather held fair and at both buffet serving times the guests swooped in and enjoyed their food. It was a unique wedding that the Hog Roast St Just team were delighted to have been a part of.
