Spring Roast for a Supper Club – Hog Roast Releath

Here at Hog Roast Releath, we love meeting people who are as excited by good food as we are. Julie, the ringleader of a local ladies Supper Club, is certainly a connoisseur of fine food, and from what we could gather from talking to the rest of her gang of gourmets, a lady of very exacting standards (don’t worry girls, we won’t name names and drop anyone in it!). The Supper Club, formed by Julie 18 months previously after getting the idea from a TV show, had reached a benchmark in its existence. Not only had the club managed to keep going for a year and a half, it had now reached the point where every single member had taken their turn at playing hostess during their monthly meet-ups (with varying degrees of success, according to Julie!). To celebrate, Julie decided they all deserved a night off from agonising over menus, slaving over a hot stove and polishing the cutlery, so she hired us to provide a delicious meal whilst they all put their feet up.

Some of our clients are a bit unsure about what menu options to go for, as they are spoilt for choice with our extensive ranges of meats, salads and sides and they need to be guided by Hog Roast Releath’s expert event planners. Julie however, knew exactly what she wanted after perusing our menus. Rather than opting for a traditional hog roast, she wanted to celebrate the arrival of spring with some tender, slow-roasted, locally sourced lamb, with the perfect accompaniment of new potatoes infused with rosemary and garlic. Julie certainly knows her flavour combinations, but luckily so do we!

Julie had decided to push to boat out to treat her foodie friends and hired a marquee for her garden where the lunch was taking place. Impressed with the professionalism of Hog Roast Releath’s experienced catering team, Julie left the preparations in our capable hands whilst she put the champagne on ice, ready for her guests. The other members of the Supper Club arrived bang on time and were seated and served right on cue. Everyone, including our discerning hostess, was blown away by our exquisitely prepared food and Julie even said to us on the quiet that she might hire us again next time it’s her turn to cook-high praise indeed!
