Hog Roast Tremaine – Vegetarian Menu

We had an enquiry about an event last week from a gentleman wanting to book us for a Hog Roast Tremaine but he was worried as two of his guests were vegetarians but we told him not to worry as we do a vegetarian menu too! We ran through the menu with him and the date was set and Saturday morning bright and early we arrived at his home.

He was very thankful for our help with the menu and the event was a small reunion with a group of ex Army pals. We wasted no time in getting set up and we brought with us a delicious vegetarian quiche that we had baked at the crack of dawn laden with cheese, tomatoes, mushrooms and onions. Lamb was the meat of the day and we put the lamb onto cook before we started to prep. Whilst the Hog Roast Tremaine was cooking we set about making some vegetable skewers using red and green peppers, onions, tomatoes and courgette and some potatoes were peeled and cut into wedges and drizzled in oil and spices. We made a spectacular gourmet coleslaw and placed it in a huge serving dish. The table was filling up fast and looked amazing as the guests arrived. The lamb was so tender and just fell apart and we offered an assortment of special freshly baked breads to the guests. The vegetarian guests were especially impressed at the quiche and skewers and the wine and beer flowed as they all sat back enjoying the food and reminiscing of times gone by.

There was a bit left over meat which we sliced and wrapped and gave to the host nothing is ever wasted and the old guy thanked us for the Hog Roast Tremaine and said how happy he was having to just sit back and do nothing. We left the place as we found it spick and span and said our goodbyes. As we headed back to the van we could hear the chaps bursting into song, we all had smiles on our faces as we stopped to listen this is what we love about our job the incredible people we meet week in week out makes coming to work and absolute pleasure.
