The spectacle of a Hog Roast, is one that truly befits any occasion. Not only does the site of a pig roasting whole conjure up images of humble campfires in the wilderness, but also royal feasts in grand halls, so no matter what your event, we are sure that a Hog Roast will make it all the more special. This week, the team at Hog Roast Newquay provided their wonderful cuisine to a happy couple, celebrating two decades of being married.

Andy and Maggie, married in ’99, in the last summer before the millennium, but didn’t get the chance to celebrate in style like they wanted to, due to financial restrictions. Twenty years of happy marriage later, and with a bit of money now saved up, Maggie and Andy decided to throw a huge function room party in celebration, and invite along all of their close friends and family. They gave the team at Hog Roast Newquay a call and spoke to us about the particulars of their event.

There was 90 people expected to attend the party, and they were to be fed with a Hog Roast Buffet , a selection of sides and desserts. We arrived on site nice and early, a good six hours in advance of the party, in order to allow for our slow cooking methods. By the time the guests arrived, the hog had nearly roasted and its heavenly scent was wafting through the air. Andy and Maggie enjoyed an hours of drinks and dancing before the food was served, at which point everybody queued patiently. Our chef served the guests their hog roast buffet onto real plates with napkins and cutlery, and the guests ate at the tables.

Desserts were served an hour later, after Andy and Maggie had given a short thank you speech to all of their guests. They enjoyed the rest of their evening dancing and drinking whilst the team from Hog Roast Newquay discreetly tidied away their mess and disposed of any waste offsite.
