Here at Hog Roast Cury, our versatile nature as a company is essential to match the uniqueness of your event. As an on-site caterer, I often enjoy a fun birthday party as it provides a contrast to weddings and other more formal events. This late August, the team and I at Hog Roast Cury catered for a disco themed 50th birthday party in the function room at the local pub in Cury.

Our catering manager, Paul, is available to help our customers select a menu appropriate for their event. Following the assistance from Paul; Angela and her husband decided on a BBQ as they felt it would be the perfect summery addition to the costume party.

When we arrived, 80s party songs were already blasting and Angela was arranging party decorations in the function room. The team arrived at 2pm with time to chat to the hostess and set up the gazebos and tables outside. Following this, we began food prep for the party that evening.

Later on, the guests arrived in their fabulous outfits and after a couple of hours of dancing they were ready for food. After a discussion with Angela at 7:30pm we began preparing the perfect BBQ: from Marinated Ribs to Vegetable and Haloumi Skewers! Everyone expressed how much they enjoyed the food – the succulent chicken kebabs were a favourite. Once we had cleaned our area and packed away, we left the guests to continue celebrating.

From our perspective, the team worked well with Angela and she expressed her gratitude for our frequent communication. Our meat was roasted to perfection and we provided a tasty vegetarian skewer along with a wide range of sides and salads. The good spirits and happy feedback from the guests made our hard work and dedicated preparation worthwhile.
