A local community centre wanted to host a charity event, accompanied by a selection of delicious catering options. The charity event was set to include a variety of fundraising stalls, including face painting, fun fair rides, and live music. The event was going to be lots of fun and packed full of things for every community member to enjoy! For the catering, Hog Roast Pelynt was asked to provide a simplistic and versatile menu with enough food for over 200 guests to enjoy. Hog Roast Pelynt On the day of the event, the Hog Roast Pelynt team arrived in the morning to prepare the catering for the afternoon. The meal was set to be served from 12:00pm onwards, for the duration of the event. We began by slow roasting the hogs and ensuring that they were cooked to perfection, which can take between four and six hours. Once cooked, the meat was expertly sliced and served in fresh bread rolls, or a gluten-free alternative. For meat-free guests, we also provided BBQ pulled jackfruit, which is a tasty alternative. Alongside the mains, we also prepared sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, crispy crackling, and chips. This was a delicious meal and went down a treat with the guests. The menu was an addition to the event and was a roaring success!
