Hog Roast Looe for a Clifftop Wedding Reception!
Here at Hog Roast Looe we love the wide variety of locations we find ourselves in when we are catering for wedding receptions, both indoors and outdoors. This diversity is only possible because of our versatile approach and our ability to freshly prepare all of our wedding menus at the venue, wherever that may be. This is why Paula and Rob chose us to cater for their big day, they had their heart set on a dramatic clifftop venue in the grounds of holiday park, and we were only caterers they could find who could provide a stunning wedding feast at such a high altitude! The Hog Roast Looe team…

Hog Roast Padstow for a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party!
The wacky world of Alice in Wonderland was the theme of the last birthday Hog Roast Padstow had the pleasure of catering for and we knew we would be in for an interesting night with lots of weird and wonderful costumes! As it had been birthday girl Kate’s favourite book since childhood, it was the obvious choice for the fancy dress theme for her 30th birthday! Apparently, the party guests had been slightly perturbed when she first told them what the dress code would be, but as they were all used to Kate’s eccentric tastes, they soon got into the spirit of things and had great fun deciding what character…

Hog Roast for an Angling Club in Penzance
David and Lorraine are the man and wife team behind a local angling club, which offers its members the opportunity to improve their fresh water fishing techniques in a tranquil environment with experts on had to offer advice about the best methods and equipment. They had been trying to think of ways to revamp their image and attract more anglers to their club, which had been a bit quiet lately. They decided a lakeside party with the offer of a free mini fishing lesson and incentives for new members to join would be a fun way to introduce people to the art of fresh water fishing and make them realise…

Hog Roast Looe for a Pre-Exam Party for 40 students!
The norm is for students to throw a party after they have finished all their exams and they can kick back and relax for the summer, but the group of reluctant revisers who hired Hog Roast Looe last week decided to do it the other way round! With weeks of gruelling study and stressful exams ahead of them, the study group wanted to have one last night of fun and freedom together whilst they had the chance. They also wanted to do something extra special food-wise, rather than just opening bags of nachos and heating up frozen pizzas like they usually do at their garden gatherings. But with a tight…

Hog Roast Fowey for a Wild West Themed Office Party!
It was more hog roast at dawn than pistols at dawn for us this week, when we were up bright and early to get the preparations underway for a company’s wild west themed party to celebrate their 20th anniversary of being in business! Fittingly, the company had hired a converted barn for the event and decorated it with various Wild West memorabilia. Even more fittingly, they chose Hog Roast Fowey to do the catering for their big hoedown because they wanted a classy corporate menu served in a relaxed style, befitting to the boisterous theme. We had the perfect option for them; our Southern-style slow roasted menu, still cooked using…

Hog Roast Torpoint – Private Party at The Cow Shed
Hog Roast Torpoint were delighted when we were approached by Melissa from The Cow Shed at Freathy Farmhouse in Millbrook to cater for around 30 people at a private party. We have six menus to choose from for this type of event and to suit each client’s requirements and in this case, Mellissa wanted us to present the Southern Slow Roast Menu. This menu which doesn’t limit your enjoyment in any way and has a variety of slow roasted meats served in a wide selection of different rolls or enjoy with salads and new potatoes. Melissa tailored the menu further requesting that we serve; BBQ Pork Butt, Texan 24 Hour…

Hog Roast Burras – Wedding Anniversary
We headed off to the countryside on Sunday to cater for a 1st Wedding Anniversary with Hog Roast Burras. The party was being held at the local cricket club and as we drove along the lovely country lanes we were in awe of the fantastic picture post card views they were just breathtaking! We arrived nice and early and chatted to the couple before hand they said they were very excited to taste our food as they had never tasted hog roast food before. So keen to impress we left the couple to chat amongst friends as we set to work. We brought with us our largest machines as we…

Corporate Hog Roast Porthcothan For A Team Building Day
Company gatherings aren’t always necessarily drawn-out, tedious affairs full of long speeches about facts and figures and death by power-point. Team building days are becoming increasingly popular with businesses today, allowing employees to escape from the formal confines of the office and swap their suits for commando gear to complete obstacles courses, solve puzzles and work together to achieve a common goal, whilst having some fun in the process. This is exactly the kind of alternative company event Hog Roast Porthcothan were asked to cater for last week at an outdoor adventure centre for 80 office staff. In keeping with the fun, informal tone of the day, the event organisers…

Spring Roast for a Supper Club – Hog Roast Releath
Here at Hog Roast Releath, we love meeting people who are as excited by good food as we are. Julie, the ringleader of a local ladies Supper Club, is certainly a connoisseur of fine food, and from what we could gather from talking to the rest of her gang of gourmets, a lady of very exacting standards (don’t worry girls, we won’t name names and drop anyone in it!). The Supper Club, formed by Julie 18 months previously after getting the idea from a TV show, had reached a benchmark in its existence. Not only had the club managed to keep going for a year and a half, it had…

Hog Roast Tremaine – Vegetarian Menu
We had an enquiry about an event last week from a gentleman wanting to book us for a Hog Roast Tremaine but he was worried as two of his guests were vegetarians but we told him not to worry as we do a vegetarian menu too! We ran through the menu with him and the date was set and Saturday morning bright and early we arrived at his home. He was very thankful for our help with the menu and the event was a small reunion with a group of ex Army pals. We wasted no time in getting set up and we brought with us a delicious vegetarian quiche that…
