As a caterer our Hog Roast Downinney chefs and servers love the part of the job where we get to meet and chat to guests. We are lucky enough to be able to work at events all across the country, serving all types of occasions that bring in people from all walks of life. Chatting to them, learning a little about their story, seeing how they enjoy our foods – it is one of the great privileges of being a caterer for events. When chatting to guests at events they will often be curious about the events we have catered to before, the horror stories that have happened, or the most exciting events and guests we have served. Everyone loves hearing about any celebrities they may know that we have catered for, and though we of course can’t say too much about previous guests and events, we’ve had a share of stardom at Hog Roast Downinney events before!

One such case happened very recently at a Hog Roast Downinney event. Though we’re used to having all eyes on our roasted pigs at events, we’re happy to share a little of the limelight when there’s a celebrity guest in attendance. Our serving teams and chefs did their best not to be starstruck when serving this celebrity, but we would be lying if we said it didn’t add just a little more excitement to the job. Our chefs were eager to be able to feed the celebrity and couldn’t wait to see or hear their feedback.

Thankfully, as with all Hog Roast Downinney dinners, feedback came back glowing! The celebrity was kind enough to come and chat with our on-site team after the meal, thank them for them wonderful dinner, and even looked for a few tips in their own roasts. To say we were excited would be an understatement!
